Beta build of nose section is done as attached picture, everything go very well with internal frame. I rarely build model with internal frame but this model is going very well without problem
I use photo glossy paper to print and build. I never see a real F-8 Crusader, so I don't know exactly that real surface is glossy or not. Hope some aircraft's guru around here can answer :-)

I flew in the Navy in the time of the F-8 Crusader. They had glossy paint at that time. Nowadays Navy aircraft have a dull finish. By the way, watch the movie "Flight of the Crusader" if you get a chance. It's one of my favorites and pretty authentic. In the '70's they used to show a training film for air crews that showed a guy getting sucked into the intake of an F-8. Message: Be careful where you walk on the flight deck! Of course the other hazard is getting blown over the side by the thrust.

Wow! I must have been half asleep when I posted that yesterday! It was Flight of the Intruder (A-6) - not Flight of the Crusader!! Sorry!
But yeah, F-8 was in the shiny paint years. |

Rear section of fuselage is done as attached picture. Color is too vivid due to a photo gloossy paper I was print onto.
Next is wing.
