Is it irony or paradox, the name of the site, "SubPirates"? I mean, they're modeling other people's work and charging you to look at it. In New England it's called Highway Robbery. I'd rather see some ads. At least you can use Firefox with ADBlock. Of course, since I come from AA+ country, $20 bucks doesn't go as far as is used to.

Chad, can't you upload some pics of your work here? From what I can tell from the tiny pics, it all looks very interesting.

But sorry to say I putting that and the saebird on hold right now. Cause I building the new F1 from Metmania and the Millennium Falcon from SF paper Craft both at the same time. The Falcon half done, and the F1 I retextured with Malboro logo so that took some time and just finished gluing the trans last night. When I done with the two models I'll get back on 707. Sorry for the wait.
Goodduck, I always smile when I read you are reworking something. You rework always looks better, but the parts you rework would have been a personal best for me!

I agree zath....$20.00 to see the mysteries of rc model submarines for the most part. Thats why theres more traffic on other sites! Does it cost $20.00 to display your work there chad?

Maybe that's why he's here. It's great to have another person on the forum who can "whittle" models like this out of the thin air!

Hi...all

Ok so here's the scoop. I saw the work posted by "goodduck" on the 707 and was interested since I have seen everything having to do with this boat in the last 2 years as it has become my sole hobby to produce a working RC version of all 3 boats from the movie. I am a member of something called the Subcommittee see "subcommittee.com" for related info, and am also part of SubPirates, which BTW (by the way), has nothing to do with stealing anyone's work, but rather is a place for people like me who love submarines and building them and acting like a kid and therefore playing with them. I think the name SubPirates is more of a way of saying we are rebels who like subs, but to my knowledge there is no stealing. All of my work is based on interpretation of the 707 boats from the anime movie, but will not likely be for sale unless there is some serious interest from enough people to make selling them worth it. I doubt there are enough people who want to pay what I would charge to buy one. I own a few subs, but none of them at the moment are running as RC boats. Also on my posting you can click on the small images to view them I think unless it's one of those situations like this forum where you have to pay to view in which case my apologies that you cannot see them in full size. I actually didn't pay but was given access for free by the site owner. Since I do not even know if this post will go through since I am not a paying member all I can say is that I do not plan to join officially. Thanks all glad to have some interest in my boat.

Hi all

To all,

My appologies, I hadn't realized that you cannot see pics I posted in the forum. SUCK! I read the comment about having to pay 20 to view pics as meaning that I cannot pic or post pics here without paying. Whew...now that that's over...consider yourselves my 2nd home for the progress of the 707 & UX RC build project. Is that ok...if I post stuff related to Goodducks 707 pics here? Or do I need to start my own thread related to 707 like the SubPirates. I really just wanted to share some similar work related to it not take over his thread, but I totally understand if so.
