Aside from the longer nose for the 6-cylinder engine I think they're mostly the same airplane.

I wish there were shots of the starboard side. It looks like the exhausts exit to the starboard. There is also a grouping of small round holes on the nose which are distinctive and add a lot of interest. Good luck with your continued development, Dragos.

Well, not the same airplane at all, and kind of a risky thing to say--especially in an online forum where these statements tend to go off and running on their own; witness the cited RC Groups thread, whee the mere name "Brown" sent guys down all manner of rabbit-holes.
Racers from this period were often built and rebuilt, sometimes in rapid succession, and often receiving new designation IDs along the way as well, so it gets confusing. Harry Crosby's planes are a good example of this, and the Granville Brothers actually put R-1 and R-2 together later on! Knowing the history and pedigree--sometimes a pretty difficult task, sorry--can save some grief for modelers now and in the future.

Browns One thru Three are distinct airframes. A Wiki search will give you pertinent length and wingspan data for both 1 & 2 (B-3 was intended as a light military plane and not relevant to this discussion); B-1 NR83Y was powered by a four-cylinder Menasco Pirate, B-2 NR255Y with a six-cylinder Buccaneer. Yup, both exhaust on the right; the cooling air vents out a gap at the bottom of the cowl on B-1--a good detail to include in the print of the model--and Miss Los Angeles has a gap running entirely around the back of the cowl at the firewall (try building that into a card model!)

Yeah, there were a couple of Browns racing at the same time too, Alden Brown and Lawrence Brown, so it can get confusing. Since Dragos' racer is yellow, I believe it is Lawrence Brown's B-1 (NR/NX83Y) from 1933. The airplane is now on display in a museum in Florida. Until Dragos adds the registration and racing numbers we won't know for sure what he's got there.
