3D Puzzle

My first design attempt - a wooden 3D table-top puzzle I encountered while on vacation.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it... print 12 pieces (they're identical), cut-fold-glue (should be self-explanatory)... then try to figure out how they go together - what the final object looks like, and how to get the pieces to go together to make it!

I know what the finished item looks like, though I have long since forgotten the name of that particular puzzle.
This will be an interesting, and precision-required, exercise.
Many Thanks for this interesting item.

Kind and Respectful Regards, Uyraell.

Here's a wood-grain textured version, if anyone's interested.

So, 3 solid pieces in (finally) to a test build, and I realize I should make a few changes to make the pieces fit together better. We'll see if I can come up with something that works better - and if I can get enough motivation to actually build it again. It's quite repetitive, making 12 of the same shape...

I love stuff like this!

I think having the parts made of paper (ok, cardstock) makes the puzzle more challenging because you do not want to force the parts into place and have to think more of where they go.

It sure is easier to build the puzzle pieces this way though! And waaaaay cheaper! <--ALWAYS a GOOD thing!

Thanks Dabeer for sharing!

Best Regards,
