Hello,
Thank you for your interest. I’m sending several pictures from the building of the model again.

That really is an amazing model. Thanks for the extra pictures!
In terms of the model, is it built as is, or were sections painted? And the rivets? Punched out of scrap?

The rivets are not included in the model. I have made them of plaster in a plastic form. All the sections are painted of course On the picture with both rollers one of them is only with the original/plain rivets.

Thank you!
The rivets are definitely a necessity to finish it off!

I was recently in the area and made a 80km detour to take some more pics of the steam roller I posted above. Light was poor and the pics are not great but will suffice as I wanted to capture some of the details as opposed to the overall vehicle.
If anyone is building a steam roller I would be happy to share the pictures via a folder - just PM me. It does not belong to anyone, and it is a miracle it remains in one piece - metal theft is rife here - they even stole our water meter for the metal. Sadly it has deteriorated badly in the 18 months since I have been there - the boiler is paper thin and the bottom has dropped out from rust. The canopy has also started to disintegrate, and I fear the whole vehicle will break in two shortly. It is in a tiny town and the roads there are shocking - full of great potholes. No signs of sub surface work beneath the odds bits of tarmac. Makes me wonder how it ended up there in the first place, as aside from that the roads were dirt as well until the early 70's. One interesting thing I noted is that it appears to have vastly over engineered power steering. The mechanism and drive looks awkward (it comes off a real wheel hub) - can anyone confirm this was used for the steering? Mike S?

Happy New Year friends!
Let it be healthy, good, successful with many new models! On 01.12.2011 I posted my steam roller model. A few days ago romfolmar asked me to create the photos that are missing in the forum. I will gladly fulfill his wish in several consecutive posts. I start with a picture of the finished model, followed by pictures of the construction of the model.
