I can't find the information I sent you before. It's either on the drive not in my system right now, or was on the drive which died.

But I do have a few things which should help. I'll package them up and email them out soon.

I live near the Air Base that the AC-130 flies from. I no longer have access to the current versions (I'm now retired), but have an early model airframe (with three bladed prop) on public display. Let me know if you need any detailed photos of the aircraft.

Oh Mannnnnn....,

I have Lock On's C-130 volume somewhere in the library. I think it has AC-130 material in it. Gee Nobi, you only have to do one side as gunships only fly counter clockwise missions (when viewed from above that is, if you see it the other way around you are the target)...,

Thank you very much, Knife...detail on nose radar and all gun is helpful for me.

just a question, 1/48 or 1/72...what is better?

Nobi, I think the size and details beg for 1/48 scale. I've seen some plastic versions at this size and they're very nicely detailed...

Here are some photos of the armament that I found in my library... I just remembered I have a squadron signal "spooky" walkaround in my library too. I'll scan some photos and upload later...

If anybody lives in the Dayton, Ohio area, the Air Force Museum has an AC-130.

Well, I prefer 1/72 but 1/48 would work fine. You just have to scale it at 66.66%. If you go too big then you can't reasonably scale it down without being able to build it well (ie. really fiddly bits).
