Scott,
You are doing a wonderful job. Will you be publishing your design when complete? My Dad flew the 307 for TWA in the 1940's, and loved the airplane. I would be very interested in building your model for my brothers if it's made available. In any case, thank you for your efforts. |

Yes, I will be eventually. Really? Yikes! Now I really have to make sure I do a good job with this one. Actually, that information helps with one of my decisions I have to make. I was trying to decide whether to do Pan Am or TWA first. Since the specific details I have on the model now are for the original version TWA flew anyway, I'll do that one first (as well as the C-75 incarnation of their planes.) Scott K. |

Thank you for considering TWA first.
I look forward to building your design...several times for several brothers. Steve Austin |

From Stratoliner to Airship
Designing and building the 307 is taking long enough without my coming up with yet another model in the mean time.
While looking at the fuselage of my latest Stratoliner test build, I said to myself, "Hmm, that shape looks familiar". So I reworked the surface detail and added a quick control car and some fins. Viola! An Airship! What scale and/or final detail, I haven't decided, but it looks interesting to me so far. Just a quick build, with no internal formers yet (and it does need some). It's already had a couple of accidents. I sat on it before the hull was closed off, and the first tail section was destroyed by accident when I put it in a campfire. (I really need to pay closer attention to what goes in trash bags filled in my work area!) Anyway, here it is so far. Still needs the rest of the trim tabs on the fins added. Now back to the Stratoliner. Scott K. |

Has it really been 2 1/2 years since I did any real work on this??
Oh well. Here is the latest progress. Since I'm still not so good yet at coloring and texturing, especially metallic finishes, I decided to cheat with my first colored version and make it up as a C-75. (the TWA versions pressed into USAAF service as transports) I still need to refine the color seperation line, and to "blank out" the cabin windows. I'm building this one mainly to test out some new attempts to fix past problems (like the upper wing fairings, still not added yet). I'm also not happy with the "striping" from my printer, but I have to put up with that as I'm almost out of ink again. Anyway, here's the latest pix. Scott K. |

I'm glad to see you back at work on this one, Scott. It looks great in the Air Transport Command military scheme.

"Apache" is really looking great so far, I am also glad to see you working on it again. I have been looking forward to it since you first showed pics of it.
