"Sikló" of Buda - in H0 scale

Hi everybody!

This is my first post and my first thread at the same time here.
In a hungarian forum for papermodelers, I have already posted updates about my current paper model under development.

Now, I would like to hear any one of you, if you have some suggestions, hints, etc.

The paper model I am currently working on is the "Sikló" of the Castle in Buda. It is quite a unique vehicle, since only 2 of them were built... They carry tourists up and down in the Castle. Their journey is quite quick, it only takes about 45 seconds to finish the hole trip.

I decided to design a paper model of these vehicles. I am using Inkscape, since the vehicles do not have any complicated shapes.

Here is the current status of the model, ignore the watermarks...

Funicular Railways are really cool!, there is something reassuring hearing the clunk of the safety pawls, depends on the design as to how loud or not, knowing they won't let you slide down the wrong way at the wrong time.

It was probably just a glitch. Sometimes pics will show in Preview, but for some reason not show in the actual post.

Could you give us a link to the other forum post?

Looking really good. This evidently isn't your first design.

Thanks a lot!

Well, that true, this is not my first design. You can see some of the previous ones:

These are quite simple, I am trying to improve with each and every paper model.

I really like those stations. Is this also going to be in N Scale?

Thanks!

Actually, those stations are nothing more than the plans of the original standard hungarian train stations converted and colored into paper models... The designs were really beautiful, it is sad that nowadays not much of them remained...

Hi Everyone!

In the last few weeks, I didn't have too much time for this paper model design, but now I'm at the point where I would like to make a test build.

Here is the current sheet of the Sikló. This will be built:
