aftermarket Photoshop brushes here is a screen capture of a quickie 'clean' piece of artwork I did in illustrator (yes even the feather camo edge was made in illustrator) |

now here is how I set up my layers
I make 2 layers of the clean artwork,.. the bottom (artwork) one I change to multiply in the layer mode then have whatever metal texture underneath,.. |

select the brush,.. whats cool is that it comes programmed so you can just start clicking and dragging

hers what the brush looks like a some different sizes and what happens when you click and drag ,.. you can change the spacing etc in the brush palette / presets

I turn off multiplied layer for now,.. and just paint like crazy in top layer mask
|

then i start to paint back in the artwork,.. notice that the mask is less black
|

other brushes are avaible too and you can mix and match,.. constantly "destroying" you artwork,.. and adding/painting it back in
|

refine it till it makes sense,.. I try to make sure the text is readable so I will paint it back in but always aware of if it looks random or if there is any repeating pattern showing up,.. (which is what you dont want)
