Diamond aircraft DA40 and DA42

Has anyone designed or know of plans for Diamond DA 40 and DA 42 aircraft ?

If not and anyone wants to have a go I can supply 3 views and as many photos as you need.

The DA 40 and DA 42 fuselage are made in the same jig with a few fairings added. I am interested in the Theilert powered versions but any would be great.

Wasn't familiar with that ac so had to go searching for info. That is a nice looking light plane. Would be interested in seeing a model of that myself.

I don't know of any models out there, but you might want to try asking this man. PaperModelers.com - View Profile: murphyaa. His name is Aaron and this might just look odd enough for him to try designing.

I work for a flight school in Langkawi, Malaysia and we operate 13 DA 40 and 6 DA 42 flying a huge amount of hours, upwards of 24,000 year.

These aircraft may look a little flimsy but they are true workhorses.

All our aircraft are powered by the Centurian 2.0 Diesel engine that is based on a 2.0 Mercedes Benz car engine. Very reliable and quite easy to maintain operating on Jet A1 turbine fuel.

Anyway if anyone wants to have a go at designing a model of them, please let me know.

Ohhh and if you are in Langkawi on vacation, look me up. There is only one flight school and I am the Chief Engineer.

Like I said Karl, try asking Aaron. He's always open to ideas and this awesome bird looks right up his alley
