Tail spoilers
Here a picture that is better than thousand words.
I do not know the function of those spoilers, but i think that they correct the flow (very complex) on the rear part of the bomb, may be retarding the formation of the vortices. I just tried to reproduce those parts. Nothing to attach here at those "tabs". Best, Nando

Thanks, Nando!
That answered that right nicely! Do you believe the interior of the tail should also be yellow then, as well as the little tabs we have been talking about? Really an impressive design and build, you have done wonderful work on this project! Cheers! Jim |

In the prototype I printed some part colored just to see how the details stand out and wich color was better. In this fase i'm concentrated to verify the general fit and the "engineering" solutions that i adopted. Thanks for appreciations. Best, Nando

You could also provide a blank for printing on coloured paper?

Spray
Here is where I am today.
This is a screen shot of a draft version of the PDF file, with details, the appropriate colors, and the texture of the spray sealant on the polar cap. It was hard to achieve this result and I did many attempts before I could reach this result. I used Gimp in combination with Inkscape, and the PDF file isn't completly vectored, but at 400% of magnification (it's for you Charles if You would give a brother at your LB ) the graphic resolution is still good enough. I tought at this solution but my major concern are the boundaries. I used a darker shade of yellow for underline the boundaries without underline too much the seal between two adiacent rings (look at the prototype with the boundaries black ). If I do a blank version I would put the boundaries out of the shape, to avoid that the shade of color of the paper could be too near at the color of the boundaries, making them hardly visible. However I have to terminate the colored version and than I will can consider the blank one Best, Nando

You are a gentleman, Nando. In fact, scaling this one up, too, for a cutaway is my intention. I am actually heading off to the machine shop to start construction of the bomb casing and gun. I'll post on my dedicated thread photos once I get something to show.
