I'm back

I'm back, fit enough for resume the work. Now is my notebook that has some problem , and i have to save frequently my work. I think that it soon will leave me, and I have to find the best offer to buy a substitute. BTW I am now at the point that You can see in the pic below. I painted the body and with the tail and the "accesories" now i can print the model and start the beta test. I did also a sheet for the tabs. I don't know if they will be usefull and the test will can answer at this question.

Best, Nando

I started the beta test with the front half of the body, using the tabs to join the rings. The fit is good and the textures line up very well. I think that in the final version I have to correct some detail, like the weldings, for make them more evident. BTW here some pics.

Best, Nando

Little progress today, but you can compare the prototype with the colored version and you can begin to see what will be the final result.

The front part of the body is completed and I'm working on the rear part.

More work on the rear half

The two parts completed

Just a dry fit test to see the overall effect

Thanks Jim for your kind words. I try to do the joints very smooth to render the round shape of the body. It helps the number of rings that you design. Many rings and you have a perfect shape but a complicate model, less rings and you have a simpler model but a rough shape.
I hope to have designed the right number of rings

Best, Nando
