H&K Mk 23 [Socom]

This time I will make this weapon , First time I Saw this in Metal Gear Solid game in Playstation 1 so many years ago :D
After so many years has pass I make this,
This is the progress

and unfolding is done ^^

Now I still test this model , is it possible to build or not, hhe
The software that I used is : Skecthup , pepakura desgner and corel draw

so here is the progress , I will share this in blank pattern so you have to colour it yourself.

I added some formers to make this feel heavy and strong enough. I used 1mm cardstock to make the inner frame.

I'm planning to colour this in silver and then I will spray with thin layer of black . I hope it will make the gunmetal effect.

after made this far , I realise that maybe this is to big, because I almost can't hold it properly

No, looks like the right size to me, It's just a big handgun.

I hope that's true , this handgun is realy big (or because my hand is so small)

as you can see, this gun will around 24cm long.

The H&k web site says that it's 9.65 in. long, or about 24.5 cm.

The handgrips are plastic so be cautious with a gunmetal effect. The civilian model I used to own was a plastic lower frame and blackened stainless above. The frame is very big and wide, I wear an extra large glove (number 8 ) in medical terms and this gun was on the big (wide ) size of comfortable. They shoot very well, are almost target class accurate, they have a weird type of recoil, more of a shove back rather than a flip up. with all the accessaries it probably handles a bit differant than I described.

yes I concern about that too, the gun metal effect wil be apply on the barrel , and the hand grip will be spray just in flat black.
oh and can you give me ilustration how big is this real thing is :D
