You can definitely see the B-32 lineage there.

Here is an interesting article about Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s wartime experience with the B-17.

Jhon I feel like you have beaten your kit to perfection... I have yet to see a more accurate B-17 paper model.

Great read! Thanks for that link (and for all your beautiful B-17s amd B-24s.) Will your attention ever turn to the B-29?

Gene Roddenberry survived two other airplane crashes. Here is the Wikipedia of the third one. The man had some pretty harrowing life experiences.

Being a huge Star Trek fan, at some point I’ll have to do a kit of Los Lobos. Apparently, a fragment of this B-17 still exists. Now that would be the ultimate piece of Star Trek memorabilia to have!

Thanks Falco and YankeeBoy, B-17s have always been an obsession with me. I should start considering working on a B-29 kit. I’m not getting any younger.

In regards to the B-29, I would like to see the USAAF Silverplate B-29s possibly starting with the Enola Gay....hint hint another type in the family would be the launch ac for the Bell X-1...
