I think that looks really good, ELB. Your plan is right in line with what the studio did. The Nebula is based off the Galaxy and whatever parts are common would look the same.

Thanks I've started cleaning up the upper Saucer. The name is gone, blocked in for where the impulse engines would normally go too. There are some inevitable areas where my model doesn't match up with the Light Works model (you can see it in post 10 around the shuttle bay) that needs attention too. So far so good though.

There are a couple of Nebula models, D-whales and Zouzhos. When I repainted Dwhales I l had, for a time, the cannon aztec and mate, it looked.. 'off' Same with a lot of accurate 1/1400 scale builds unless it's muted to the point of near invisibility. It only seems to look good on LARGE scale models. Buggered if I know why though!

I'd imagine that the aztec would bee too much at a smaller scale, too much going on in a small area maybe? I think the same of the smaller plastic kits that use the aztec decals too. I guess it's harder with paper models though as we can't weather or tone down the colours in the same way as plastic kits?
I want this to be at least in line with the 1400 sale plastic kits, probably a tad larger. What's the common card model scales for trek these days?? |

either 1/1700 or 1/900 I think mate.

1/900 would make it approx. 49cm in length.
1/1700 would be around 26cm. 900 sounds better then to me.I did numbers for 400 scale like the ships Legal is doing right now. But at over a metre long I think it's too much. |
