Carl D. Bradley
This is the collaborative effort of the Great Lakes Lore Maritime Museum located in Rogers City Michigan and Digital Navy. The Bradley sunk in Lake Michigan with 33 hands on 18 November 1958. There were two survivors, Elmer Fleming and Frank Mays. The purpose of the museum is to honor all who sail the Great Lakes and its membership is made up of retired hands and some survivors of shipwrecks.
The Lore has provided plans and many photos to Digital Navy and the photos are of the progress to date: April 5 2009. |

This is looking quite good. Another threat to my bank account is on the horizon.

I assume Roman is doing her in 1/250 scale. The Fitz is also available from JSC in 1/400, but the Bradley will be a very welcome addition, and perhaps we will see some more. I know David Hathaway is interested in doing Keewatin.

I like pretty much any Great Lakes boat! I'd love to see a whaleback one day.

Very cool. I usually make it up to Roger's City every year for the nautical festival, but I haven't yet gone to the museum. If finances allow the trip this year, maybe I'll plan an extra day.

1:200, excellent! Is it going to be a pre-printed kit or download/CD?

Any further news of progress Blaine? I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of the build process on this one.
