Cool And some trivia

beautiful detail. Definitely for the experienced builder.

A bit of trivia now. Do you know why the F-102 had the two cheeks around the exhaust?

This was an early attempt at area rule which was common to follow on aircraft like the F-105 Thunderchief, 106 Delta Dagger, F-4 phantom... Those aircraft all had a necking down of the fuselage around the wing center in order to keep the cross sectional area as constant as possible. Since the F-102 was already built, they added the aft cheeks to build up the rear area and allow it to go faster.

Yes, re-read somewhere about it, when was looking for information on the prototype.
I will tell you honestly - I dream in my heart as something then do another and TF-102.
But this is in the future plans. I will continue to look for the Old.

It seems that the album containing the pictures in the second post has been deleted from Image Shack

maybe mcboom has moved the pictures or deleted them
and it seems that mcboom has been on the forum since October of 2016

Hello!
Yes, the picture album was automatically deleted from the hosting.

The model is NOT published. The model is back in operation. At this stage - the application of the layout and inscriptions.

There used to be a 1:33 F-102 from Paper Trade offered on eCardmodels but it apparently has not been relisted yet.

Yes. At that time, work on the model was suspended (as on my other projects)

As far as I know the PaperTrade model is available in scale 1:50 only. The model depicts an F-102 once stationed at the Soesterberg Air Force base in The Netherlands. It's available as hardcopy on www.zeistbouwplaten.nl. Billy Leliveld built the prototype and rescaled it to 1:33. His thread on this site was somewhere in 2012. Indeed, development of the model had been suspended at one point in time. I've seen the check build by the designer (scale 1:50) and it's a very finely detailed model with a lot of options.

In any case, mcboom, your design looks great. There's an F102 on display in the national military museum in The Netherlands and as I bought the PaperTrade model (haven't built it yet) I took a lot of pictures of the aircraft for future reference during the build. Let me know if you're interested if it could be of help to your design.

Regards,
Erik
