It looks like your effort at designing are slowly paying off. It is certainly allot more complicated when you translate your beautiful computer model into paper reality. That is why not many of us builders design as well.
I for one admire your effort. Bravo!!! Isaac

Sill no wings... but we can take a ride :D need to add some more paint on tires. While building tail-wings also didn't use any formers except traverse one Some more words about Inkscape. Despite, Eric, you've showed me how to properly apply colors I still used "fill-bucket" tool. Due to the fact that this method would require even line editing, as each color patch needs to have its own closed contour. Maybe making next model I shall reorganize my application of layers on Rhino so that exported file to Inkscape would require minimum editing. However markings and wheels made properly:

If you convert that fuselage with landing gear picture to black and white, and add some noise filters, you can pass that off as a vintage ww2 picture.
RE: Inkscape fill tool It's a quirky behavior at most. Sometimes, Inkscape will produce the desired results even if the shape you're filling does not have a fully closed contour. Anyway, I've a question about Rhino. The file you sent me have real Bezier curves. Were those curves generated from Rhino? |

Maybe do some more vintage pictures after I'll finish the model. Quote:
Then imported file (object group) must be ungrouped 2 or 3 times so it would remain only a groups of each layer that previously were created in Rhino. Then I recreate the same layers in Inkscape and assign those groups to those layers. As a result if layers were properly prepared in Rhino I don't need to draw any additional lines in Inkscape environment - just change properties for strokes, add fill and rearrange layer's order. After one file is prepared I use it as a template.

Hello everybody,
now working on wings. Made standard frame: two bearing card-stripes and some formers. Fuselage has a holes to stick wing frame. Simply 3 lateral formers glued together. The mid one has a cutout to make a guide for wing frame. Seems to be rigid enough. Engines. Despite that engine parts were designed with formers I gave up those formers. And it worked: Manged to assemble only one wing. Finishing touches intended to be done during the weekend.

Alway fun building a Luft 46 plane. The grey color scheme is appropriate.

I hope so. It is left only 2 engines and a few details... Maybe HE-P.1080 would provide an escort during test flight :D Quote:
Grey "camo" looks cool. However I don't now if such color scheme was applied during WWII. Thank you for following.
