An attempt at...

So first of all before I start describing the build/design this is my first design so it may not get finished but I will try my best to get it finished.
The model when it's finished should measure around 15cm in length so it's a fairly decent size in my opinion. Just to let you know it's hard to find measurements for this particular vehicle so it doesn't have a scale!

The stages of the design will be;

1) Design the boiler, firebox and the place where the drivers stand.

2) Test build

3) If that works move onto designing the gears/cogs/wheels and the smoke stack.

4) If that works move onto the controls and the steering system.

5) If that works move onto colouring the model and then do the final test build

Attached are some pictures, any guesses as to what the model is?

A locomotive wouldn't need a steering system. I'm guessing a steam powered tractor?

Gears, cogs, wheels, steering system.... hmmmm.... my guess is it's a traction engine (or showmans, ploughing, road roller.... ) but a steam powered road vehicle of similar ilk. I'd like to know what engine it is, if I'm right ;-) Good luck with it! as it's your first design :-)

Great progress Nighthawk.

Could you publish a little more about this tractor? I see some pictures in the background. It would be interesting to see what model should we expect.
