International Space Station "Europe"

Sooo, guys, this is ISS "Europe", a joint undertaking of the Soviet Union, Polish Democratic Republic, Czechoslovak Republic and People's Democratic Republic of Hungary.

The first module, Polish "Mazovia" was put info orbit in June 1985, while Czechoslovak "Bohemia" follows promptly in July same year. Later on, in December same year Soviet "Baikal" experimental module will be delivered and docked to "Europe" and in the beginning of 1986 Hungarian "Panonia" - a space laboratory will conclude the assembly of ISS.

The station will serve civil purposes, with scientific research and space technology experiments in mind. It will cooperate with the already operating Salyut series stations and the (almost assembled) MIR Odin Soviet space station.

To protect it from the imperialist scum with their MOLs and Big Geminis, the station will be in constant contact with two nearby Almaz type stations - Almaz 7 and Almaz 9, and an escort of TKS space fighter will be handy at all times.

1. Baikal - Soviet laboratory module 2. Mazovia - Polish crew and experimental module
3. Bohemia - Czech crew and experimental module
4. Panonia - Hungarian laboratory module
5. GWD - main docking node
6. Manned Soyuz type ferries

My son demanded building a model of "Europe" for him, so you might soon see some MIR recoloring and modding on my part.

The project is for my planned (an hopefully upcoming one day) movel "Galacting Reconneisanse".

Thank you for your time.

Thanks Josh!

I spent several hours yesterday modding John Jogerst's excellent 1:144 Mir model, this is what I came up with.

And this is the first module, Polish "Mazovia" with GWD.

The beer is not part of the model and it shall not serve as a stand later. The model is intended to be hanging in my son's room.

Any chance of making this available once you get the build ironed out?

If John agrees to release the mod then I'm ready.

Hello Godai,

may I ask: is it a fictional space station? As I never heard about such

BTW nice module you've build.

Oh. Yes. Thi i a totally fictionaspace station I made up for my upcoming novel. It never exited, though the very iea of it is an amalgam o real life projects that did come into life or at least were intended.

A for the model, John's design in this scale is simply... dunno cute? I like the module very much.

So.

Mazovia solo (with GWD).

Mazovia + Bohemia. Twins in orbit. I decided to leave the panels straight.

More coming in the following days.

A novel? That's an intriguing thing. Will it be from sci-fi genre?

By the way, an interesting approach with pictures. Are you going to put a space background with stars and galaxies?
