M577 Command Vehicle (1/25)

Hello,

I finished my last model, SU-85M (SU-85M - self-propelled gun - scratch build 1/25), and it is time to start new project. I was thinking long time to have in my design collection model of modern vehicle. In my are of interest I have vehicles based on M113 APC. I chose M577 Command Vehicle because, I think, there model of this vehicle does not exist yet.

My dream is also to design three M113 models, one in NASA service as rescue vehicle, one in NATO camouflage as Armored Medical Evacuation Vehicle (AMEV) and finally M113A2 from Vietnam time with full interior details. Something like this:

Let's see. OK, let's start. I'll use drawings from Internet and from official and public available M113/M577 maintenance guides as well as pictures.

I have basic body of M577, road wheels arms and mounting idler wheels and drive sprockets.

I'll be grateful for all the comments and suggestions. If something goes wrong and you notice it then please tell me. I will try to correct it.

Regards,
Michal

I'm glad to see that you have another project underway, Michal.

The M-113 was a very versatile vehicle.

Like the idea of the NASA rescue vehicle, did not know they existed. With the numbers on the side it makes them very 'Thunderbirds', if you know what I mean - I could envisage them rolling out of a Thunderbird 2 pod.

Very cool! I look forward to seeing this. I trained on the M-981, which I would love to see as a paper model.

Great project. Really looks good.
I spent quite a bit of time in the M577 command post vehicle.

Bummer, I was hoping that mrafalsk had gotten further and I'd missed the thread. Would have given me an entry into this year's convention theme.
