Union Pacific Big Boy

Unfortunately Kooklik is no longer active on the forum, and I have lost hope that his model will ever be published on the forum.
Therefore, me and my friend Piotrek, decided to get it done ourselves To make it as good as we can, we need blueprints, plans, drawings, anything detailed that could help. Anyone who chips in will get a copy of the finished kit I know there is many enthusiasts of this locomotive around the world, and I hope they will be able to give us a hand in this project.

I have fell in eternal love with this loco...

Please PM if you would like to help.

Best regards and thank you,
Adam

I'ts hard to get some good blueprints without high fee :( I have 2 designs in CAD, but poor quality.

Ciężko o darmowe plany. Mama dwa rysunki w CAD, ale kiepskie.

Hi!

I have some photos of the one that is on display at the Henry Ford Museum. If you are interested, I can look for them. However it might take a month, or more. My photos are spread over three computers and numerous albums.

I have one that is on display a couple of hour from me. Sometime during January I could go and take pretty complete picture coverage, maybe 2-3 hundred pictures.

Hehehehe. I have a few albums of pictures that I supplied to Kooklik of an actual Big boy in town. I think I have them on my external drive. When I get home tomorrow from Christmas with the family, I'll start digging.

I have more books on the Big Boy than you can imagine.
Too bad we don't live near each other or I'd let you borrow them.
Probably have plenty of blueprints and diagrams too.
(Part of my late Father's large railway collection...literally hundreds of books on every aspect of railways.
Anyone interested in buying?)

I also have a plastic kit of the Big Boy...I thought about doing a paper model myself
and using it as reference. But I have been hoping to hear from Kooklik first.

Airdave
, this sounds amazing... Too bad indeed... However, would it be possible, if you don't mind of course, to get some scans from those books, of any diagrams and blueprints? Any information about length, height and all the other dimensions?

Best regards and Happy New Year everyone!
Adam
