MBB Lampyridae (Firefly) in 1/48 scale
Hello. That's decided to distract from the serious projects, and to create something simpler in terms of geometry and construction.
This time I decided to design MBB Lampyridae (Firefly) in 1/48 scale (because the danyh for larger scale practically do not have any). This is what is ready on looking for is. I think for a couple of days to make a test assembly model. Respectively will be the photo. |

Interesting new project. With texturing skills of yours it might be very decent model .
May I ask one question regarding formers? How you create intersection lines on former? Do you draw it by hand or have some method to get it in 3D model? I'm interested because each former must have a half cut from other former and vice-versa. If I use boolean tool I would get cuts all through each former - not good...

Is the Lampyridae file downloadable somewhere? I'd really like to build one

Hello to all!
I will update the preview of this project. It remains to do the numbering of the details, the instruction and the coloring of the patterns. |

very cool. i have been fascinated by lampyridae ever since i read about it several years ago. mainly for the 'intriguing story' about the americans seeing it and the project getting shut down soon after! cold war politics at it's best or something way more pedestrian. does anyone know?
