Here is the link to the album on photobucket. I tried to label the photos as best I could. I used port/ starboard, etc to describe what the focus of the picture is.

FB-111A Gear Well Photos by Brett Redemske | Photobucket

Excellent pictures Brett. And I can still name alot of the components you got shots of.

One of them includes the "kidney" panel. So named because all -111 crew chiefs
have scars around their kidney areas from the sharp points on the panel!

Glad to be of service. I had to explain myself to a few folks that couldn't understand why I spent more time under the plane than walking around it. I also ran into my old boss (I used to work at the museum). It was fun catching up. He asked about what crazy new paper models people have made lately. When I worked there, I showed him Bomarc's PBJ and Ken's B-58 and SR-71 which he loved.

That's what I would respond without knowing the cause of this behavior)))

Willygoat, at least you can walk under it. Being more of a car guy, I find myself on my back wiggling underneath.

Mcboom been watching this thread with interest. Besides you doing some beautiful work on the design do have a liking for the F-111 and may have to consider it.

Well, being an F-111 crew chief for several years, let me tell you. You did not walk under
the airplane. You squatted at best!

Although, on the -D model, we could stand up in the weapons bay. We used it as a weather shelter when doing paper work.

Notice I didn'the say I walked under it. A mechanic's creeper would have been quite handy for most of it. Thought I was gonna split my shorts crawling and crouching for that long.

You are correct. I correct my statement to replace "you" with "he".
