Hi all,

About the repaint question: I always prefer to design models from scratch.
Repainting is also a lot of hard work and I respect all talented repainters.
However I enjoy designing all parts of the kit and that's why I always create my own designs.

Now on topic:
Here is the next step of the kit preparation.
See attached a screenshot of the 3D instruction view in AutoCAD.
I'm planning two color schemes for now - 1 military and 1 civilian.

looks great maybe I will get one, though I have many of your designs to build first! my favorite is the Israeli F-15I my talk in Israel was titled " The Eagle has landed" because the name given to F-15 in USA was just after the first moon landing,Apollo 11!

After the geometrical design is ready it's time for coloring.
The coloring process is also connected to the geometry of the model because the color patterns lay on multiple adjacent parts and perfect accuracy in positioning and orientation of the edges is needed.
The geometry of the model is required in order to avoid gaps between the coloring of connected parts.

Another reason I use the geometry of the model at this stage of the design is that in this way I'm checking the already generated parts for any possible mistakes.

All this I do with the help of my Surfmaster AutoCAD addon.

At this point my work with 3D geometry in AutoCAD is done and I'm ready to export to CorelDraw for coloring and final touch.

Hi,
Are you drawing in AutoCAD in final model scale or in 1:1?

I design my models in desired scale so that my drawing units to be in the real world millimeters. This is due to the paper thickness correction needed for perfect fit. It is more convenient it to be in 1:1 scale.

Hello everyone,

It's been awhile since I've posted and updated this thread.
I've had to halt all of my projects because of poor health and having to stay in a hospital several times. I'm glad to say I'm feeling better and I'm resuming my designs one by one. I've already prepared a new series of kits that will be ready soon.
For the last couple of weeks I had to pay a lot of money for medicine and treatment. This is why, with the help of my son Andrey, we've set up a new Patreon page to be able to get some much needed funding.
Anyone can become a patron for as little as $1 or more. Every help is greatly appreciated.
We've set ranks and rewards for everyone who wishes to join the "ZarkovModels Army".
We'll post all of my updates there first for all supporting patrons to see.
Thank you everyone in advance! Now I'm going back to work for the finishing touches of the new kits.

God bless!

Greetings!

I've been authorized to share some information regarding the new project.
Below you'll find some beautiful images of the brand new 1/50 FLYING series.
This new type of model is designed also to be suitable for children - a good way to introduce your kids, grandkids or naphews to the hobby. (Of course variants without swastikas will be included)

Here is some info on the upcoming models:
- They FLY! They're not flat, they still keep a 100% accurate geometry. The only difference is in the wings, which have to be in a special shape for flight.
- They are very easy to build and at the same time we're not sacrificing any quality. They can be built for flight or for a collection with some included additional parts and details. I built one for testing in just a couple of hours without trying to be fast.
- A lot more different airplanes will be available, the ones shown are just the beginning of a large collection.

We hope you enjoy the images. There will be a lot more coming soon!
If anyone has any questions regarding the project, my father and I will be happy to answer.

Special thanks to everyone who supports us on Patreon. Every dollar helps!
