Made a little more progress. Made a pincer and both shoulders. Had to re-think the arm pieces. The first iteration just wasn't working for me. I was trying to make truncated cones glued directly onto the next cone's bottom disk. It seemed sturdier to make the cones longer, then overlap them into a hole in the next cone's bottom flap. So, I re printed arms and started assembling them.
I also had an idea for the clear dome. I had a whole box of clear plastic sheets. I think they were for overhead projectors at one time. I cut the dome pieces from the plastic with flaps and all. Just as if they were paper. One caveat, the super glue kinda made the top edge a little cloudy. I think I can polish it out though. Any hoo, here are some pics:

Build's looking good. Superglue is a pain for clouding clear items - it's the fumes it gives off. Like the pincers, very convincing.

A plastic polish or even toothpaste may work to clear up the dome. Or perhaps just dip it in a floor wax like Futura.

Before you go to the trouble of polishing the cloudy area out, give the acrylic floor wax Future a look Cory. There have been several things done with Future here on the forum. A simple dunk like rmks2000 says sounds like just the ticket.

Check out Crafter's Pick The Ultimate glue next time you want to join some plastic to itself or another material. It works very good in joining a bunch of different materials.

Sounds like I am going to try Future I will also buy some of that Ultimate Crafting glue as well. Looks like it should work better than super glue.
Thanks for the advices!

Work let us go home early to prepare for the hurricane. Got a little bit done before I turn in. One arm down, one to go.
