Yes i know the mad max plane is real- i just didn't know its proper name... thanx for that! and the connection.
as for phoenix- a diorama would be nice- the crashed plane with the new one made from bits like in the film next to it...nice idea? i know there is one out there but the one i downloaded ages ago is a bit simple and for newbies not for more experienced modellers like little old me...

There is also a model of the Mig-31 Firefox out there...I think made by Janx in a PDO format. I'm sure there is a way to enlarge it as well...when I was building it, it was somewhere around 13 or 14 inches long.....never finished her though. That is one that is on my "to finish" list.

If you have membership over on Zealot, here is the link to the download section where it is hosted. If not, you'll have to register first to download I think.

Firefox

Yeah ive just joined them to see if that connection still works, though on reading some of the replies on the message boards- some members have had trouble accessing that particular model- some kind of software glitch? i still have to log on ten times etc in order to get access to the list of models available yet- i used your earlier info to track janx's activity on to zealot and found the listing- so far the only model mig 31 thats found on the internet (independantly) is the foxhound model not the made up film version- which is the one i want...hopefully in the next few days, i might get hold of it somehow- the only thing now is how much paper does one need?

I just downloaded it (Firefox). Just wanted to see if the files was corrupted. It opened fine in Pepakura, so you should be all set to go after you make the required posts. There are no instructions, but it should be pretty straight forward. Zealot went down the tubes, but it seems like they came back up. I have not posted there in a while but probably will. A lot of us are over there too. Since Ekuth started running it, it has come back around greatly, though it is a shadow of it's former self.

Interestingly ive just found a website with both the grey and black firefoxes plus a bundle of other models on google 3d warehouse- however you need specialist software to open them- something called google sketchup- version 8 right now, have no idea how to use it (or a .skp file?)- so hoping for that model and others on my wish list to be available either on adobe (pdf.)or pepakura designer(pdo.)- as i would like to resize them myself to what ever i can print on a home printer... size always being an issue?- joke.
