Cool My first complex model - Wingull

Hi all. This is my first "real" foray into the world of building my own 3D model for releasing to the world at large. I'm currently in the unfolding part of it all and will make updates as I go along.

Thanks for the greetz everyone.

I don't mind hanging out with the guys.. I work in an evironment where there is only one other woman amongst 30 odd men. It's all very familiar and (believe it or not) safe.

Oh, and Wingull is a Pokemon creature. He's no: 278 in the pokedex.

Anyway, here is some updates. I did a trial build and found lots of problems. I started at the wrong section, so that when I finished it, it was difficult to get the glue in. Gave up after a while. LOL (If you look closely, you'll see the gap behind the wing)

There were some really weird fold lines and places that I managed to overlap, the wings either need to be shortened or supported and my mesh is definitely not straight, in any sense of the word.

Now, with some help from my pokemon mad son, I'm do some alterations for the next trial build. Once I have something that I like, then I'll build the legs. No point until then, as they will just be flat doublesided things that hang off the bottom.

Cheerio for now.

Hi Phil. Yes, second.. sort of. I made a "cup" accidently, then quickly unfolded it to see how the software works. It doesn't really count.

Is that the Black Pearl in your Avatar?

That's pretty cool Mandy! Keep it coming. I have some neighbor kids that are way into Pokemon. I'm considering building a bunch of the models for them.
