Looks very nice!
I was remembering that film a few days ago. Haven't watched it in many years.

Thank you! I only have the steam engine yet to do, but my printer is very low on ink. So I started building the engine on a rejected hull to see what needs modified.

Another one of those projects that I'm surprised I haven't tried. What scale is this roughly?

Mine is 9inch long, 2inch at back, 2 and 1/2 inch at widest, and 2inch high not including mast or canopy. The real African Queen measures 34B-22-33, what ever that means. So I am not sure what scale mine is. I only found one other paper version, and the designer is still working on his version. His looks to be a water line version.

34B-22-33 are measurments for a female body. Somebody being clever.

I have seen references to the boat African Queen being either 30 feet long which would make a 9 in long model 1/40 in scale, or 28 feet long which would make it 1/37 in scale.

You're doing an excellent job on the AQ Blake. Great choice of subject, something different and a scratch build at that. I like it!
