Perhaps these pictures in Hepburn's book offer good reference.

The book is a quick read, all in Katharine's words. You can
almost hear her speaking.

Some bad news. My hard drive is crashing. It might fire up again, but I don't want to risk it. If I can get another computer I may be able to take the hard drive and put it in an external to pull off my files. Till then it will stay shut down to prevent any more damage. Guess I will use cell phone to check in till then.

That's a hard situation.
I know how difficult it is to have a drive crash with all the personal and work files at risk of disappearing.

We may be expecting news about this model. But surely you are also expecting a good outcome for all of your files.

Hopefully you'll be able to rescue your data.

We know how to be patient facing this events. So don't hurry just for us.

Good news! I ordered a refurbished computer from e-bay, and received it today. Been working on it all day when I can. It needs Ethernet controller driver, but I tethered a old cell phone to it to act like a wireless adapter. I managed to save all my files except for favorites/bookmarks. Still installing programs like my cannon printer disk. The one on the left is my old computer.
