Update on construction...I normally would take the assembled base model and cover it with a skin of modge podge and tissue paper. I decided to try a little bit different method of thinning the modge podge by about half with water, and soaking tracing paper strips in the mixture, then applying in layers to the model. Well...it turned out to be too watery and basically warped the legs from the soggy card and weight of the extra water. So, I removed the legs and have to print and re assemble them. After that is done, I will give it a coat of modge podge, like I used to, then apply the tracing paper with full strength modge podge. So, stay tuned, I'll post some progress images when I get those legs back in place

Again, the trials of a scratch build modeller. But, once again, getting it wrong to get it right / better. Stick with it.

Off with the old legs, building up the new. This time around I am going to seal them and add the skin before I worry about anything else. Slipped up again, but back on course I hope.

Ah yes, the old seal them and add the skin before you worry about anything else gambit. Good move.

Overall it looks good even with the happy accidents.

Pumpkin head is not a subject that appeals to me, but I am enjoying watching your design methods and progress Cory. However, although I've often heard it mentioned all over this Forum, I've never actually seen any, so I just have to ask ... what IS Modge podge? It sounds sorta useful.

Cheers Rick. There was me envisaging it as a sort of ready mixed Papier Mâché, but it seems there's a whole range of products to be perused. I wonder if it's available this side of the pond?
