Correction....
I have a Rademaker plan that shows the IXS Enterprise to be just over 62 meters long
with the Warp Rings at 41.3 meters.

That makes my build around 1:217 scale based on the diameter of my Warp Rings.

Murphy's model claims to be 1:157.
I don't know how or where he got this figure.
I have not modified the overall size of the Warp Rings from his model by any significant amount.

I have those same dimensions. I am planning on mine being 1/96 or 1/100. That makes it 64cm long or thereabouts. That should be a sufficient size for some good detail. My impression at this point is that the overall 3d shape will be relatively straight forward. The object textures will be the more involved effort.

I didn't like how the struts came out the other night, so I redid them yesterday and got some decent textures on the objects.

This is a great project. I like seeing people do parallel designs as it encourages innovation and improvement. I think that you chose an interesting project as well. Mt compliments. I am watching this thread.

Also compliments on your choice of avatars. I came very close to selecting that very same image, but honestly, I was convinced to pick the one I use due to the presence of the fedora...

Now the pic of older Tesla in the fedora???? That's always an alternate contender!

Here' looking at this thread...

There are so many markings on the collars that I just created a whole new UV map and texture layer called "decals".

This design and concept has always fascinated me. It looks like it is coming along beautifully!
I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out! It is something that I would really like to try my hand at!
