Space Ark from When Worlds Collide

Just what the title says, this is going tobe my design for Space Ark from When Worlds Collide, as requested by Mr. Wadcutter.
I moved these images from the other thread to this design thread. Here you can see how I used the reference images to build the ship in 3d.

ShadowCory I can't thank you enough. I think this will take time and at my age I'm in no hurry. Fantastic! wc

But why do this model? There already is quite a good model by Delta7 Studios!
May I suggest you try to get the source book for vintage SF, 'Spaceship Handbook' by Jack Hagery and Jon c. Rogers, and select one of the many models that have not been made into paper models as yet!?

I don't know...because he asked for it? It will be free and available to anyone? It will make Wadcutter happy? He seems like a nice guy? It seems like a fairly simple exercise for me to hone some design skills? I like the movie and rocket myself? I honestly don't know why I do half the things I do
My version will probably turn out pretty bad anyway, so he'll probably get frustrated and have to get one from somewhere else, so I hope no one gets their hopes up too high
You seem like a nice guy too, so maybe I will check out that book and see what I can do

May I suggest that you do whatever the hell you want Cory?!

Regardless of whether someone has already done the model,
no matter how good or bad you think it will be,
and regardless of what Diderick thinks you should do (rather than minding his own business).

Don’t anyone hold their breath on the Spaceship Handbook unless they’ve got $130.00 on up for the hardcover as far as I’ve been able to find.

I’d welcome another designers version of the Space Ark. Design on!

Ha ha ha! thanks for the encouragement, fellas! I think it was just an innocent suggestion. I pretty much do what I want with my own time. I doubt I can afford that book at that price, but I am pretty sure there are plenty of resources online and at the library. Yes, I still go to the library
I hope I have a lot of models left in me before I leave this world, and I hope someone else can get a little joy in life in making one. Nothing would make me happier.

Thank you for that very kind remark, Airdave. By all means, let us all start minding our own business - better stop this whole forum, with that approach.

Or, just don't jump into someone else's thread and "suggest" what they should or shouldn't build
and what books they should "purchase" for that reason?
...and then this forum will do just fine.

...
I was curious about the Tail wing, on the lower side of the Rocket tail.
*obviously only the lower side when its on Earth. In space in wouldn't matter.
So it seemed like an odd position.
Why not position the wing on top, so its out of danger?
But it looks like the modellers added it as a place to put the track guides
and as a support to steady the model rocket on the Launch Track..
