This looks AMAZING! I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out when built. I would be very interested in making this model.

I wish to say that I completed a lot last night... but I didn't, so I won't.

I have four pages of parts for the lateral spine and hopefully they will go together well.

Some parts are coming out now. For those that will want to build this, you'll need to make a lot of inset rims on parts so they offer up some 3d texture on the finished model.

Large portions of the lateral spine have come together.

Outstanding, David. Tip-Top shape!

Q: Are you gluing these particular tabs on the outside of the lateral spine walls? -J

Do you mean the various panels to the chipboard forward and rear faces? If so, no. There are no tabs there. I'm doing a closed corner joint there. The chipboard laminated to the cardstock gives enough thickness to do a closed corner joint.

If you are referring to all the plates all over the place, those are laminated to the needed thickness and glued in place.

Got it; closed corners. Thank you, Sir.
Also, I looked at your full gallery on IU and all is clear.
Again, beautiful. -J
