HMS Eskimo 1939

Started work on HMS Eskimo in it's 1939 form. While searching for blueprints of the Iowa I found a complete set of this Tribal.
As they say, work in progress. Any ideas, suggestions, critique, are appreciated.

Nice start and a good choice to design and model.

I think Barry may have done a Tribal which I seem to remember was available as a free download at one of the German language forums? Might be worth checking it out to see how Barry did it and perhaps consider how you might do some things differently. I reckon it was an early Barry model so doubtless he would do it differently now too.

Looking forward to your progress.

Yeah I've quite lost track of where that Eskimo is available, but Barry will know.
Here's a pic

In fact you'll find the gunshields on that model are of particularly high quality.

I've no real experience with it and will be interested to see how sketchup goes with ships.

Maurice that Eskimo is beautiful. You have intimidated me . It is after all my first design. Sketch up is doing fine so far , but it tends to stress you out with lines on the hull that should be “hidden” but seem to have a mind of their own . I am now working on the deck. But my blueprints are not top notch and I don’t know if the front deck is arced up slightly to the bow .Also I am trying to go with full hull. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Admiral,

I have sent you a PM regarding Tribal Class plans.

You are doing a nice job with the hull.
