Oh, yes. That looks like a wonderful R-2000. Following with great expectation.

DC4 Stationed in Kenai

We have a fuel hauler DC-4 here in Kenai. DC-6 haul fish and fuel out of Anchorage/Kenai, C-46 Commando flies out of Kenai and Fairbanks.

Just recorded a DC-4 take off two weeks ago when I went flying on Sat. the 10th. Must have really been loaded, max power takeoff, barely moved it, after about 5000ft finally left the ground.

I didn't get the whole thing, my cannon recorder had the door open on the SD card, once closed it was already rolling, before could finally start to record it.

I could hang out at the fuel pumps, ask them if ok to take photos, talked with the pilot in the past.

Mike

Glad to be able to show more progress: Cor has started the coloring for the KLM version. As I probably mentioned already, we will make three (!) more versions available at the same time: Berlin Blockade (The Spirit of Freedom), AT&SF Skyway (because of the connection with the Santa Fé locomotives and sleeper we already published, see Santa Fe Sleeper Pine Grove), and Columbian Avianca. They will of course be available as print-your-own, only the KLM version will be ready printed as well.
Reservation are much appreciated: it helps planning the numbers and the price.
Please mail to da.denbakker (at)planet.nl , or a pm - do not forget to include your own email address!

is there a better way to match the blue accents from the nose going aft ( multiple locations )? They do not match well here. If it is the designer, then may I suggest a modification.

all I noted were the mismatches. So if it is the builder, then it's OK. If it is the design, then I brought it to your attention.

This is only a technical observation and not a criticism.

FYI only

You may like to have a look at some pictures of other designs by Cor on my photo collection: https://papermodelsinternational.tum...an%20haasteren

Not to worry, after the three Santa Fé models (see the thread on this forum) this is going to be another super model!

The shape of the front fuselage is fully correct in my opinion. Keep going in this way!
