When I repaint an existing paper model, I try to use the existing lines or colouring. On a scan of the parts, I use Paint shop Pro and make a dot with a paintbrush with the corect size above or below the existing line. Assuming the original line is correctly flowing and connected over the parts, the new line will also be. But building a white model, drawing the necessary lines and then taking it apart for scanning is also a practical method. I'll try that next time. The 3D programmes you use are way to professional for me. Your drawings look fantastic by the way.

You are right Sir. Working with 3D programs requires a lot of training but there are enough free downloads (like Blender), free one or two year student training programs (like Autodesk offers) and cheaper programs which posess Booleans functions also. Just try them out. Working with it can sometimes be a bit awkward as their interfaces differ a lot and take a lot of time to figure out how they work for beginners. The white model solution is the more direct way and I used it for years when I started with modeling paper models.

Excellent idea, thank you very much. Sometimes the most obvious is forgotten.

Cor is working on the final touches. numerous lines on the wings, counting the rivets round yhe windows...Then layout and instruction drawings, then test build for the cover... And at the same time working on the (fortunately not very complicated) livery of the Spirit of Freedom. We are now aiming at early April. More reservations will help!

Latest screenshot: Cor is drawing the inside of front wheel well in great detail. Layout, test build in combination with instruction drawings will hopefully be finished by the end of March.

I am really drooling over this new model. Can't wait to start building it and forget about the corona measures.
