Agreed... with only a few hours to work on these logos, I think none of them come close to the level of quality I would strive for.

Maybe Goney's idea with the brainstorming is a good one.

We could come up with some criteria and then give more time.

That way no effort would be totally off, and we all might be happier.

Personally it doesn't matter to me what the logo is.

Yeah, I was thinking:
  • To genre or Not to genre (planes, trains, automobiles, ships, sci-fi).
  • Slogans! (we really need a finalist, really helps when making a logo to fit it). Plus the people who can't draw can feel like they have participated and contributed to the community.
  • Style: keep it clean and flat or make it more colorful and intricate? (military style vs. wine label, etc.)
  • A lot has to do with typography. If someone has a favorite font, throw it out there :D
