Don't think the thought hadn't crossed my mind!!! I really wouldn't have a place to keep it at 1:1

Here's today's progress on the BigBoy:

Build a J2 1:1 first and you will have all the space you need. LOL!

Finally had some time to pick back up on my extra big version of the B9 robot. I have the central body part designed and almost assembled.
In these two pictures you can see how I smooth my seam lines. I use this filler that goes on pink and turns white as it dries. I put a dab on, then spread it with a small flat sculpting tool, then wet my finger and smooth it on down. That's the bottom of the body and the mid body, respectively. I'll be able to fit the top half of the robot to the bottom half without gluing so I can reach the inside to install the lights.

When this dries, I sand it a little, then apply my tissue paper and Mod Podge skin over the top. The paint will follow.

Made a little more progress on my big B-9 project. You can see I made a light fixture box for the "voice lights" area and have projection holes for the control panel lights and lighted buttons.

These two sections are about 12" (30cm) tall already! I purchased a self contained obstacle avoiding cart to mount in the feet area of the robot. The idea being it will just wander around the house like a Roomba vacuum, lol!
