Phönix C.I (Early) 1/33
I have just finished coloring the sheets of the Phönix C.I (Early) model in 1/33 scale.
The Phönix C.I was a two-seater reconnaissance aircraft produced in the Austro- Hungarian Empire in the last months of the war.  I chose the color of the plane factory number 121-17 piloted by Zgsf Max Kauer, Ltn Arnold Barwig gunner, the crew and the plane that claimed the shooting down of the SPAD and the killing of the Italian aviation ace Francesco Baracca. Stunning texturing as always. That is a very interesting looking aircraft. The vertical tail plane/rudder is so tiny it's a wonder that it had any affect at all. The Austro-Hungarian Empire had many strange looking aircraft.
