Most of the time if they include the .tld it is because they do not own the .com so they include the extension in the name or logo to try to drive home the point that the site is at the .net for say.

It is not a bad suggestion and all suggestion were welcomed. I guess it is just easier for people to visualize when they have a image in front of them. I am sure it was just an over sight by Chris that the suggestion were not discussed more.
