Tony,
First off, I really like the looks of your digital camo so far! Feel free to upload it when done if you want to share As for the part in question, the opposing tabs actually both connect to the flat part of the top fuselage/wing gloves I recommend building this top part alongside the wings first, then combining to the nose and lastly adding the bottom to it (the part with the double tabs) The top part, the wing, and the swinging mechanism: Be sure to cut out the triangles near the root of the wing, then glue the tabs on the mechanism to each other through the hole: Do this on the other side as well, and glue the mechanism to the inside of the wing glove to fix it in place while allowing the wings to swivel. Then glue the tabs on the top part shut Now you can attach the nose to the front tab (I advise putting weight in the nose first if you intend to build gears-down). Note that the nose should be fairly rectangular where it connects to the fuselage Now we can attach the parts with the double tabs. I recommend gluing one of these tabs to the white part of the fuselage underside first, then gluing to the other side, then gluing to the tab on the bottom of the nose The other piece follows the same procedure, only make sure that the top of the fuselage remains flat; the rear piece should angle upward to meet it I hope this helps

Thanks a lot!! Now all is clear; I need to assemble one unit for alignment purposes. I upscaled this Su-24 to 1:100 and began the Digital Camo for an Ukranian apparatuss. I show WIP at "Los Amigos de la Aviación" Thread. And when completed I'll upload it to the Downloads section. Thank You again, Tony.

Hello paperengineer,
I am also trying to build the SU-24 and had 2 observations: 1. When trying to connect the last fuselage section to the top part (the one with the wing aparatus) it seems that the width of the top part as well asthe part that is supposed to get glued in the last part, is a little bigger than it should. 2. You can add a couple of engine tailcones to complete this beauty. In overall so far very beautiful model indeed. Thank you for sharing it. |

One more thing...maybe I did something wrong when trying to shrink...to 1/300. After printing for 66,67 % of the original file, I ended up with a model 6,7 cm long while I was expecting : 23m /300=7.67 cm long. Could it be because I printed it in A4 paper?
My very best regards |

With the directions/instructions you gave us I was able to build this one. Now I can complete the recolor. I have experienced that scale problems when I down/upscaled A4 but is because I print into a Letter size sheet. There is a 2 or 3 % factor interferring. Now, to complete the Ukranian Digital Camo version. Best Regards, Tony.

After a while I am back with a camo recolor of the Su-24MK, as well as some slight modifications that should make the model build better (thank you Tony for noticing the issues) The MK was mostly used as a downgraded export variant, but there are a few in Russian livery (Blues 93 and 94, I believe). The modifications and camo are untested right now but I will print and build it hopefully within the next week and will post pics
I cant promise that I will be able to make frequent recolors and modifications again yet, but I figured it's best to at least show that this project is still active--after the fencer, I'm thinking about either a MiG-31 or a J-8ii (Chinese interceptor), but we will see... su24MK_russ_camo.pdf
