Yesterday I made what are called the " sax" valves, for a good reason.

Thanksssss!!!!!!!!!!
Here I have finished Robby's face and started on the dreaded clear dome. This is about the fourth iteration on him now. I have tried using petals, various ring layers and even melted a few sheets of this plastic over a glass form. None worked out. After wrapping it in a cone of plastic and using a whiteboard pen to mark everything up, I then trimmed it all down to fit. Now I'll just use a couple of rings made of graduated cylinders and a wide angle cone to top it off. At least that's the plan. We'll see how many more sheets of plastic I can ruin before I get this thing on and looking right.

Don't envy you with the task of the clear section 😬. Unfortunately, it is an important part. - I bet a 'dustbin ' R2-D2 looks good now.😀 However, perseverance or just bloody mindedness will see you through. Keep strong, this is looking good.

Thanks for the encouragements! After another 4 or so attempts, I'm getting close. This dome is the right shape, but it's too tall at the moment. I did, however, get his gyro brains made and in place
