I messed around with the render settings on my software, got a few renders of my work so far
It's still a long long way to go. Plan to start the Cab interiors today. Once that is done, I'll do the tender details and coal storage area next...

Regards,
Prabal

Your use of the 3D software is inspirational and your choice of subject excellent. The Beyer Garratt has long been a favourite of mine.

Like many following with interest keep at it.

Though some way off I will be interested to see how you transfer the 3D to 2D for printing.

Great start! I am especially looking forward to the Beyer-Garratt. And it is a good idea to start out aiming for a fairly simple model - walk before you run! Looking forward to your progress!

@Kevin WS
Thank you, sir

@DougH
Thank you for your kind words, sir, there are loads of people who design better than me. I'm just getting started.
The workflow is as follows:

1) Once the 1:1 3D model is ready, I'll use fusion 360 to output blueprints (3 view drawings + section views of the cab and tender along with their respective dimensions) (I've uploaded sample blueprints of the model built so far for your reference)

2) Once I have the blueprints, I'll make a much simpler 3D model of the locomotive keeping in mind that the model is gonna be made of paper (essentially, simpler curves and straight-er edges since complex curves are gonna be hard to fold out of paper).

3) Once the model is ready, It will be exported as a *.OBJ file and imported into pepakura. Pepakura is the magic software here, it will unfold every 3D body into paper templates and output a completely white untextured model.

4) The white model will then be painstakingly textured, colored in Inkscape (a vector graphics editing software). Once the texturing is complete, the model will be ready for its first test build.

5) once the test build is complete, I make the corrections, do a second test build, and make instructions simultaneously.

6) I release a youtube video and the model itself for sale

@Diderick A. den Bakker
Thank you so much, sir

Regards,
Prabal

A quick update!
Completed the Tender, also did the small gates which open into the cab (I don't know what they're called to be honest)...
