Did you make provisions for the landing gear bays? Are the spars in the way?

Hello Isaac,

It took some time but I have designed the spars in such way that they will not interfere with the landing gear bays nor with the slats (A, E version).

If needed, the front part can be taken away without any harm to the rest of the structure.

Please see the picture below

kind regards

Sorry I haven't been on here lately, work load full.....sigh. Your work on the wing design is very good, not the easiest thing do. Looking forward to seeing the skin's go on. The wing roots will be a challenge, but one you will meet and conquer I'm sure. Keep at it Mac.

Hello gents,

No skin yet, but I finished the spar covers so there shouldn't be any marks when the whole thing gets glued together

Please see the photos

Next step - wing tip

Kind regards

Mac,

I often get out to Planes of Fame in Chino CA. They have several versions of the F86 If you need some photos of details let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them for you.

Hello gents,

Jim - that would be extremely rude t not to take the offer of your help
I can see there couple more of my future projects

Coming back to Sabre I am looking for some good photos of the rear of the airplane (showing the exhaust pipe) from some distance.

Apparently there are two different types:
1. oval shape - version A-E, Canadair Mk's.
2. flat/rectangular top shape - version F, Commonwealth Sabres.

It is only my theory, can anyone shed some light if that is correct, please?

Also, on top of that, both of them got a different heights (yellow & red arrows)

Please see the photos below (skytamer.com & scalenews.de)

kind regards

Wing tip

Hello gents,

Pete - thank you for your kind words!

Just a bit of update:

I am trying to achieve a nice round shape with coupe of cuts/cross-sections.

Anyway for sure the wing tips are not going to be 'left flat / undone' just like it used to be on the older models.

kind regards

Cybermac

Hello gents,

At the moment I have got some 'family issues' and my working place moved for 2 weeks from my original place, therefore the project needs to wait a bit.
I will keep you gents posted.

kind regards

Cybermac
