Smile a wing shape

Hello gents,

Just a bit of update for a New Year. 2022.
It took some time to get the contour of the upper & lower wing all together but here it is.

The next step will be to put the stretched airfoil contour onto the fuselage so we can see how does it fit all together

kind regards

Cybermac

Hello,

The airfoil got some 'stretching' to fit onto the fuselage.

I just can't wait to see it printed and test fitted - that should happen within next couple o days.

kind regards

Smile The wing

Hello gents,

Finally I am having a bit of quiet time with my work and my family so the wing got printed and it is getting glued all together.

The wing tip requires some patience but so far it goes OK.

Please see the photos

Kind regards

I hope that my little family goes on holiday mid of August and than I can do some proper work on F-86 & U-2D projects.

By the way, next step are the wings, their support and their connection with the fuselage.

For now I can send one more photo of all dry-fitted parts I have done so far.

Hope it looks 'Sabre-ish' enough

Kind regards

Hello Marterair,

Thank you for your kind words!

U-2 - is more complicated with the air intakes than I thought and that's why it is on a back-burner but it will come back at some point.
I am still looking for good photos of those air intakes by the way.

F-86F - that is what I got done so far.

Now I need to check the airfoil contour on last segment so it meets with the wing the way it should.

Kind regards

Good morning Mac. Been a long time since I logged in here, you know how things are and I know that your situation isn't easy by any means. This known fact makes your work on this aircraft design even more impressive, congratulations on what you have achieved thus far, looking absolutely marvelous my friend.

Any chance of a camo Yugo F86? The camo is very common and can be easily made into other liveries

Hello gents,

Peter - thank you for your kind words!
I am having a tough family situation, which isn't going to change for some time.
But the good thing is that I am having some time off (suppose to be having) every fortnight on top of my 'happy hours' Friday/Saturday night.

Marterair - simple answer is YES - but I can't say when is it going to happen.
On top of the military schemes I would like to do some 'aerobatic schemes' with Akro Team from Yugoslavia as well. However I would need some photos or decals to do that.

There is a BIG variety of colours, schemes but first I need to finish the design, at least to complete the basic version (no landing gear, cabine interrior, etc).

Kind regards

Cybermac
