What about railings? Such a big part of the visual presentation, but so difficult.

After ten years I will add them to my Father's ship Rupertus in 200 scale.

Progress

Okay, so I'm making "headway" (no pun intended), it's starting to look more like a ship!, I still have a tremendous amount of things to add yet but it's getting there.

I'm sorry that Kevin WS couldn't see this, I think he would have liked it.

details

Okay, I hammered away at it this weekend, got a lot of detail done but now it's on to that fore and aft mast, still have to add all of the steps and ladders.

I like it -- What's interesting, also, is that it's like watching you build the actual kit!

Best regards,
Kurt

Love it! Greece used FRAMs and Allen Sumners late in the 80s. I always liked their form and shape. Some where fitted with Harpoons and Oto melara gun, and some other could accommodate a helicopter (Aluette III or AB212) in the aft helipad. Thank you for bringing them alive.

Fore and Aft mast

So I got the Fore and Aft mast done, all that's left to do is a tremendous number of stairs, ladders and watertight doors to add.

This second phase is nearly complete, this will be the second time and way it will be drawn, the first was the wireframe.

The third time I draw it will be, "breaking it down" to all of it's 2-D components, totally different process.

The fourth time I draw it will be the various technical illustrations to aid in assembly.
