Smile next cross section

Hello,

Not much I could last 2 weeks, but finally I have got the first rear cross section right.
All because the new plans don't quite match the drawings which I had so far, so I had a bit of juggling.
Next two cross sections should be easy-peasy as they are circular ones, so hopefully the segments will follow ASAP

Angry ...

Hi Herky,

Well...
Yet again I am having 'not the best time of my life'.
After few months of hard work and many extra working hours, they made me redundant just one day before going on my first holiday for about a year!

Anyway, I managed to prepare one of the rear segments.
This is the first time is had to deal with colour border line which becomes a curve 'in a digital way' - please see below to know what I mean.

I hope I should be OK to print it out and glue it soon.

kind regards

Cybermac

P.S. The other project has been cancelled and may reappear as a 'double seater from cold war era - Made in CCCP'. All because I managed to find a great scale drawings of one particular machine.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Cybermac. The curved line on a curved surface is hard to visualize on the 2D computer monitor. I end up doing a lot of test builds until I get it right. The photo shows how many attempts it took me to get the United EJet markings correct. Hopefully your designing skills are better than mine.

Hope the job situation improves soon. I sent a bunch of paper models to a company a few weeks before my interview with them last month. Although I haven't heard back from them yet, they all appreciated my efforts and it made me stand out from the rest of the applicants. I expect to hear back from them soon with a job offer.

Smile 2 new segments

Hello,

Knife - Hope you are well, next week I am having an interview, please wish me luck.
That's a LOT of spare parts for Continental Ejets on your photo!
Most important, you have done it!

Putting the colours onto the paper model is not the easiest thing and becomes a bit 'trial and error' like you said.

Anyway, I have done those two new segments

Please see the photos, the last one looks a bit funny, just to show how much is done.

That is approximately 38cm of 737 segments

kind regards

Cybermac
