Well, I am doing this at 1/24th for two reasons. First, I built Rolls Royce Merlin 45 Engine -- 1/33 scale (See earlier post by David Sakrison) at 1/24th because I simply could not do it at 1/33...my fingers aren't that tiny. So then, I enlarged the Halinski Spitfire to match the engine. I believe I will enlarge all my future builds to that scale because it is easier to make, and I think more pleasing to look at.

Secondly, this build of the drive wheel confirms to me that 1/33 is just too small to get all the detail in. Even at 1/24th, is was a bear to cut out and glue those 40 spokes per wheel! If someone wants to reduce the bigger one to 1/33, that is fine with me! I would like to see it done. But I won't try it!

I think the M2 will be a welcome addition to the ranks. Sooner or later.

Jim

From what I can gather (from a forum on Oliver tractors) the M1 and M2 are, for all intents and purposes, the same!

So your overshoot was within the limits!

OOpps! Now I'm the one with the missed shot. M2 is NOT like the M3. But, it's late in the day for me.....mind slows down!
