I just realized, pepakura 3 will not read .mqo files. if you have pep 3 and like using it you will have to save a .mqo in pep 2 then open in pep3 :-X

i just sent them an e-mail. .mqo is on the accepted format list, but doesnt work. we will see what the response is.

i saw that post but hadnt messed with v3 at that time. when i upgraded my v2 was not handling geometry well. i just realized today that v3 wouldnt take .mqos. i like some of the new features so i hope they fix it. at the least ill have to export .mqos to obj :(

heres the deal with pep3. you cant open a 3d file from pep3. ypu have to right click the file and open with. choose pep3. a very awkward way of doing it but with pep3 open it will only open pep files . make sense? :P

That sure is a huge difference for your design there - why did it make such a huge change? Seems like a step backwards.

I think not! it was the same problem with PepDes2; Version 2.1.5 had so many bugs, that it was better to unfold with PepDes1! but i guess the last version of PepDes2 was without some bugs!
btw: if you convert a Metaseq-file to a 3DS-File, PepDes3 can correct open it, but then you have no texture!
or you open a mqo-file with PepDes2, save it and then work with PepDes 3!
oh, and sometimes i CAN NOT open a PDO-file from PepDes1 (!ONE!, the oldest version)! that means, that PepDes3 is not every time downward compatibly to PepDes1 ??? what a f***ing problem is that!!!
And here is another reason not to buy PepDes3: texture images!!! my texture pics for the church are BIG but not to big for PepDes2! In PepDes3 cames: "the image is too large. the image is downsampled to 1024 pixels"
WHAT?????? 1024x1024 is okay, or they mean 32x32=1024 Pixel! and the last is a joke or not?

I will look into your request for images upload - I think you can do them as an attachment and that will be best. I can probably also create a gallery of some sort if that would be a good solution for you guys It would be nice if I could integrate something though. I am not overly familiar with SMF forums, it was just a freebie
